Got myself a tablet because I felt like it, figured I might as well try to do something with it, so I make a little picture while experimenting to find a style I liked (haven't found it yet).



I am downright horrible at tree trunks, that's the first thing that leaps out at me.. Not fond of the little island. I'm pretty happy with how the grass came out along the left edge compared to the rest of it, though, and the clouds aren't completely horrible...

And feedback/suggestions you guys could give to an absolute newbie on improving my ability?

Cool The floating island reminds me of Chrono Trigger. Do you have a story behind each thing in your picture, or did you just draw whatever you felt like drawing? I'm interested in what's on the island.

I draw whatever I feel like, actually. Usually it isn't much, but I'm hoping getting a tablet'll alleviate that somewhat.

Took a suggestion for what to draw and ended up with this. Made a few mistakes with the head, the biggest one being that I made it too tall.. well, it's all learning!
