Glad I'm with Citibank.
Though I'm sure they have their own security failures...

Chase really fails... don't they know that IE 6 is nearing its end of life? Hell, even IE 7 or IE 8 is better than IE 6... =/

Chase and Citi suck. I know because I've worked for Citi and I (unfortunately) do my online banking with Chase. I guess this explains why I can barely get their cruddy site to work even if I open it in IE. Oh, and Citi thinks IE6 is more secure too. When I worked there, that was the reason they gave us for why everything site wide required it.

CitiBank killed our favorite bank and totally remodeled the bank my Mom worked in.

I can never ever forgive them for that. Monsters.

On a side note, I am with Bank of America and never have trouble except on my Blackberry. For some reason, I'll log in and it goes to a blank white screen. I try going back and hitting submit, error. Have to log in again... same problem. I finally realized I can open Opera Mini and get it in there, but with the default browser it won't let me in anymore.

It could still be worse - they could decide not to support Safari at all, leaving Mac users fucked too! :specialed:

As it is, as far as I can gather they almost completely screw over Linux users - and if newer IE versions aren't supported, anyone not on XP. As for Linux users, I remember there being some program that emulated older versions of IE for testing purposes, but I'm honestly not quite sure.

My mother, fortunately, uses Wachovia (and IE 7, for that matter). I still haven't decided which I want to go with, though.

That's the bank my mom was with, and Citibank absorbed them.

I only archived the IE 6 SP1 download by using the trick to get all the installation files, and 7zipping them... I mainly did it for the sake of submitting to a vintage software archive (maybe WinWorld or something, I don't know...), since we all know IE 6 sucks, but saving it is a good idea anyway, since Windows Update on Windows 98 or 2000 won't run on any other browser, and Microsoft will likely get rid of the IE 6 download shortly after its EOL (13 July 2010). =/

Glad Windows Vista and 7 have Windows Update as a control panel instead of a browser thing...

You should see the Capital One online support files we have access to at work.

IE is recommended, Firefox can be used but is weird and scary, and all other browsers do not exist.

The alt attribute should be used to give a short description
of an image; longer descriptions should be given with the
longdesc attribute which takes a URL linked to the description.
These measures are needed for people using non-graphical browsers.

For further advice on how to make your pages accessible
see http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL.
You are recommended to use CSS to specify the font and
properties such as its size and color. This will reduce
the size of HTML files and make them easier to maintain
compared with using <FONT> elements.

You are recommended to use CSS to control line wrapping.
Use "white-space: nowrap" to inhibit wrapping in place
of inserting <NOBR>...</NOBR> into the markup.
