Activity is getting lower and lower each day...... ;-; |
| Xkeeper Posts: 7720/17608 |
Activity isn't stable. It never has been.
If you're referring to a sudden downturn of all channels today, that is because it is still counting. It moves to a new day at 0:00 PDT (PST when that time arrives.) Currently, it is 3:31. As for the plummet on 10/13, well... it is Monday. Most people were busy, after all. |

Is that a joke/reference to the stock market or something? How can an IRC channel plummet so drasticly like that? |
| Tanks Posts: 1459/4132 |
Wow... I guess everybody does hate Mondays... |

Originally posted by Kagome Actually, a few of us do. It's just usually when others are. Pretty much the same reason you stopped takling there, really. And yeah, most of the activity in big channels is just from constant activity. Sure, all 1000 people aren't talking at once, but it isn't rare to have 5-20 conversing at once, with others picking up when chat slows.
Funny how that works, isn't it? By the way, the latest instance, he came after the channel was active again; it just got quiet before he joined. |

Originally posted by The Red Snifit This isn't true for IRC though. In HUGE channels (with more than 500 people in it), only 20~60 are really active. Examples are nipponsei and eclipse at rizon (800 and 1100 users right now, respectively). Originally posted by cpubasic13 I stopped talking there simply because people stopped talking there. I just felt it wasn't worth it moving to a new network to remain idle there too, so I left. Seems the situation remains the same over there though. I have noticed some people from #super-x rarely (if ever) talk in #x anyway. Drag, Xkeeper and hydra are good examples. PS: You'll always have activity when a troll comes to tell you your channel is dead. You should get arbe to do that more times ;D |

Not the meme I expected, thankfully. At any rate, what the hell is going on in #retro?! |

By the way, #retro is OUT OF THIS DIMENSION! |

holy crap #x rebound out of nowhere... Funny how it happens the day Arbe sends his goons to tell us it's dead... |
| Sukasa Posts: 496/2676 |
wow, activity in #x sure shot up within the last day. Wow though, #retro gets huge amounts of activity ![]() |

#x has been pretty idle...
I'd be amazed if #x gets active again ...
I enjoyed looking at that graph . |

I'm lazy, so instead of making it start a new day for PST I just did that. Whoo. |
