I drink coffee every day and when I don't I have special sweets that have lots of caffeine goodies, great for festivals !

I am planning to try kola nut which is supposed to be a lot stronger and a different feel to it, meant to be less twitchy as caffeine can be too.

Even though it's not my favorite I've gotten used to taking mine straight black, strong.

When I first had the stuff I couldn't drink it without cream and sugar, but because I have 2~3 cups a day it made me go crazy so I just thought it was better to cut that stuff out.

I like drinking coffee with french cream and sugar. I also like to drink it black with sugar too.

αWe did finally get a simple stainless steel French press. No home grinder yet, so we're using store-ground beans. Works pretty okay, honestly, even though we were told that consistency of grind is really significant for French press.

Planning to try using the same mechanism for cold brew at some point. Wish us luck?

I continue to like coffee, a lot.

I also learned that I'm making a few mistakes when it comes to my moka pot, and I could be making even BETTER coffee. Except I broke my coffee grinder so I can't be bothered.

I prefer my coffee from anywhere as long as it has decaf sith crean and suger. I’ve drinken it black with sugar before but I plan on drinking without ANYTHING AT ALL. So there’s my take on Coffee.

If you've got some money to throw into it, I can't recommend the Hario cold brew jugs and bottles enough. They make the process very easy! Then it's just a matter of grinding your coffee beans, topping it up with water, and putting it in the fridge overnight.

EDIT: original reply from mobile phone so now I can add more info. I mostly drink cold brew at the moment, I just don't have time in the morning to make a hot drink right now, and we've had hot weather. It's very easy to make, and I also really enjoy the flavours.

Technically all you really need is a mason jar and something to filter it out with at the end, but I did find that was a pain in the arse so I still really recommend the Hario bottles, at least to start with. They make everything very easy, they are easy to make the coffee with, and easy to clean up. The bottle is handy in the fridge.

There are fancier things out there for cold/drip coffee, but that depends how much effort and stuff you want to put into things.

[β] Coffee seems to be almost a necessity when it's rainy, and viable when it isn't, though we're not amazingly picky. Right now we just have a temporary stash of passable-but-mediocre Starbucks canned stuff in the fridge for easy access, and Medaglia d'Oro for instant.

Yeah, I know. >..> We're going to get a bottle of Chameleon cold brew concentrate next time we're at the hippie grocery, but then at some point we should really fix up our “making coffee at home” shtick, both for price and quality reasons.

The problem so far with making coffee (or tea) at home, though, isn't actually the effort of making it so much as that the result starts out hot. We tend to shy away from hot drinks because it's basically impossible to tell when they're safe, so unless we wait for them to be room-termperature it's a mouth-burning fiesta. It seems like cold brew might be simpler to make at home than we thought, though, so maybe that's the answer?

(Opinions from Real Coffee People appreciated.)

More seriously, I think I'm taking a tolerance break once semester ends -- 3 cups a day is a bit much.

Even better: they sent it in little 250g sealed bags so I can kinda take my sweet-arse time.

Mmm free wanky single origin coffee

I don't really drink coffee. I do drink tea occasionally.

I'm going to Sweden this spring, and apparently they're all about their coffee. Coffee in the morning, coffee in the evening... Should be interesting.

I've had the strangest craving for cappuccino lately. It's been a while.
